Fried Plantains (Ripe)

 

Ingredients

3 green plantains
Cooking oil
Salt (optional)




Directions

  1. Place oil in a skillet over medium high heat.
  2. Sauté plantain slices until they begin to brown.
  3. Remove the plantain and drain on paper towels.Use a plantain press or the bottom of a cup to flatten the plantains then press to half of its size.
  4. Sauté once again until golden brown. Remove and use paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  5. Sprinkle salt on plantain
