Guava Duff

Ingredients

2 oz butter
1 cup sugar
3 eggs beaten
2 cups guava pulp
1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
3 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
black pepper taste




Directions

  1. Cream together the butter and sugar for about 30 minutes, then add the eggs and continue to mix for a further 5 minutes. Blend in the guava pulp, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves.
  2. Sift together the flour and baking powder, then fold it into the mixture. Pour the mixture into the top of a greased double boiler and steam for approximately 2 hours, or until an inserted skewer comes out clean.
