Brown Beans Rice PDF Print E-mail

Ingredients


  • 2 Cut onions
  • 2 Big cut tomatoes
  • 1 Cube of bouillon
  • 1 Cup cooked brown Beans
  • 2 Cups of water
  • 1 Freshly cut twig of celery leaves
  • 1 Whole hot pepper
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Black pepper
  • cooked brown rice

Directions

  1. Simmer onions a few minutes.
  2. Add tomatoes, cube of bouillon, black pepper and simmer till thickened. Add the brown beans, the celery leaves, the hot pepper and the water making a tasty broth.
  3. Simmer for about 10 minutes or until the liquid is thickened. Add nutmeg or more black pepper if desired.
  4. Serve over the brown rice.
