Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 Very ripe plantains, peeled
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup wine
  • 1/2 cup of brandy
  • 1/2 tsp of nutmeg

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a skillet and place the plantains in the skillet.
  2. In a separate bowl mix sugar & cinnamon, sprinkle over the plantains & cook for 5 minutes & medium heat.Remove the plantains & place them on a baking dish.
  3. Remove skillet from the stove. Pour 1/2 cup of wine in skillet, stir to make a sauce from the sugar & cinnamon remnant.
  4. Pour the sauce over the plantains.Preheat oven at 350 degrees & bake for 25 - 30 minutes.
  5. Pour the brandy over the plantains. Set on fire and let the fire extinguish itself naturally.
  6. Sprinkle the nutmeg on top
