Ingredients
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 Very ripe plantains, peeled
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup wine
- 1/2 cup of brandy
- 1/2 tsp of nutmeg
Directions
- Melt the butter in a skillet and place the plantains in the skillet.
- In a separate bowl mix sugar & cinnamon, sprinkle over the plantains & cook for 5 minutes & medium heat.Remove the plantains & place them on a baking dish.
- Remove skillet from the stove. Pour 1/2 cup of wine in skillet, stir to make a sauce from the sugar & cinnamon remnant.
- Pour the sauce over the plantains.Preheat oven at 350 degrees & bake for 25 - 30 minutes.
- Pour the brandy over the plantains. Set on fire and let the fire extinguish itself naturally.
- Sprinkle the nutmeg on top
