Chicken Onion Pie PDF Print E-mail

Ingredients


  • 9" pie dish
  • 1 egg yolks
  • 3 cups cooked chopped chicken breast
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 cup
  • 4 medium onions
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 cup evaporated milk salt and pepper to taste
  • 1-1/2 cups bread crumbs
  • 1 cup cheese grated

Directions

  1. Add 1/2 stick margarine in a frying pan,saute the onions until tender. Remove from heat.
  2. Add flour and milk gradually to make a thick sauce. Combine chopped chicken, egg yolk, season with salt & pepper.
  3. Mix all ingredients Grease pie dish and set aside. Blend the bread crumbs with the other 1/2 stick of margarine. Press this mixture in the bottom and side of a 9" pie dish. Fill the pie dish with chicken and onion mixture.
  4. Garnish top with grated Cheese. Bake for about 30 minutes at 350 degrees.
