Bean Soup (Guiso de Garbanzos) |

Ingredients
- 1 cup chick peas
- 1 1/4 cup sausages
- 4 cups water
- 1 smoked ham hock
- 3 minced garlic cloves
- 3 tbsp tomato sauce
- 1 tbsp green pepper
- 1/2 tsp vinegar
- 1 medium chopped onion
- 1/2 cup tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp oregano
- 1 cup squash
- 1/3 head cabbage
- salt to taste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 potato chopped and peeled
Directions
- Boil all ingredients except squash, cabbage,and potato in large stockpot.
- When peas are tender (about 2hrs) add remaining ingredients and cook until soft.
