Ingredients
- 2 cups flour
- 4 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp melted butter
- 2-3 cups milk
- 5 oz guava paste
Directions
- Sift dry ingredients in a bowl; add melted butter to the milk and combine with the first mixture.
- Mix well until it forms a soft dough. Roll out on a slightly floured board about 14 inch thick.
- Cut circular pieces about 4 inches in diameter and place a piece of guava paste in the center of each circle, doubling the other half of the dough over this.
- Dampen the inside edges with a little water and press together with a fork.
- Fry in hot oil until golden brown.
