Flag Information: The design of the Puerto Rican flag represents
the close ties between Cuban and Puerto Rico patriots. The Puerto Rican
flag is the Cuban flag with reversed colors. The white star stands for the
Commonwealth of Puerto Rico while the three sides of the triangle
represent the three branches of the government . The three red strips
symbolize the blood that feeds those parts of the government. The two
white stripes represent symbolizing the rights of man and the freedom of
the individual.
