Businesses and Organisations from the local area support the DC Caribbean carnival and it aims to bring the community together. Local organisations are encouraged to help with funding and other aspects such as food and drink or craft. It is an annual event organised by DC Caribbean Carnival inc. which is a non profit organisation based in the District of Columbia. They aim to bring a taste of the Caribbean to the DC district and encourage more cross-cultural understanding and appreciation.

DC Caribbean Carnival Dates & Location

The carnival will take place the end of June. The annual parade starts at Missouri Avenue at and ends at the international marketplace at "DE SAVANNAH" - Banneker Recreation Park.

In 2012, DC Caribbean Carnival takes place June 23th & June 24th.
