About Us

I started Islandflave.com a few years back. This began as a personal hobby where I wanted to show recipes that represented "Flavors of the Caribbean".

Later on, I added a lot more content (photo galleries, event reviews, interviews) and changed the design. In 2009, I decided to revamp the website and renew my focus. 

  • Include information about ALL islands
  • There's a lot happening in the Caribbean community! Add content submitted by website visitors
  • Keep it simple so information is easy to find
  • Don't wait another 6 years for a new design (lol) 
When I look at the politics in the US, I'm reminded that "change" is a good thing. There's a lot more work in store for the rest of '09 but I look forward to progress... it only gets better from here!
